This low growing, dense shrub is a member of the legume or Fabaceae family. Its leaves are composed of smaller leaflet sections, and the flowers are pink, arranged in a loose puff shape. They usually grow to 2 to 4 feet and thrive in drier, gravelly soil. Commonly, these plants are also called native fairy dusters.
