Thatch or fan palm (Thrinax radiata) is native to Florida. It can grow to be 15 to 25' in height and has fan-shaped leaves 2 to 3' wide. Some people have used the pulp as food and the leaves of these palms, as in the case with other palms, can be used for weaving and other crafts.
