Bitterbrush is a member of the rose family. It has alternate, silver-colored leaves which are toothed at the ends. The shrub can grow to 4-6' tall. In spring through summer, small yellow flowers appear throughout the plant. Native to the dry parts of the Rocky Mountain range, bitterbrush is often planted in dry sites.
