We've included some helful hints on the different parts of the Pollen Library. If you are looking for information on the trees or grass in your specific area, you can use the Search by Location search box at the top of the page. For you researchers, looking for pictures of specific botanical species, you can search for them by name, using the search tool in the right column of every page.

  1. Main Menu: This Links you to the different sections of our Researchers Botany and Allergy Library.
  2. US Map To research allergy causing botanical species, click on the state you live in to select from a list of counties.
  3. Search by Location Use this search box to research allergy causing botanical species in your county.
  4. Name Search To find a particular species of botany, type the a full or partial common or scientific name. You may also browse our Researchers Botany and Allergy Library alphabetically. The Name Search is located in the right column of every page
  5. Photo Window You may click on the 4x or 6x tabs to view a larger version of the picture of the specific botanical species if it exists in our Researchers Botany and Allergy Library. Very popular for researchers!

Allergens and Plants Search

section divider Enter a full or partial species name to find more information on one of over 1200 potentially allergenic plants. For example, you can find chenopods searching on "cheno" (no quotes) as Latin Name.
